Sunshine & Summer

It is so good to be able to wear shorts and t-shirts day and night
To have cold showers makes me feel quite right
My skin looks good and am able to apply a light lotion
Instead of depending on the doctor's potion

Yes - at the moment my skin has been really good since May
Have been physically very active and have seen a vast improvement.

Hmmm - let you know when winter comes along

i suffer from eczema too for the past 10 years. I am still trying to find ways to minimize it. One thing I have found is that high threadcount bedsheets help relieve the itching. Any cheap low thread-count bedsheets will drive me crazy. My doctors have prescribed me steroid itching cream but i've been looking for ways to not use it (as it's not good long term). Like you, I get waves of flare ups.. I think blogging is a great idea to figure out what events/foods/environments may have triggered or lessened the itching. Thanks!

Hello. I was just wondering how you managed to control your skin at its very worst that got you to where you are now? My skin is a nightmare at the moment and my next hospital appointment with my dermatologist is November but very tempted to get one earlier. I don't want to be admitted again if I can help it, but I'm in so much pain and can't stop scratching....

Hi Natalie - sorry to hear your skin is not behaving.

My blog will tell you how I've got to where I am now. Have found writing a blog really helped me find out ways to relieve the "itch". Have also highlighted factors that appear to increase the "itch" - check out the entries in Dec 2008.

Will write another entry soon.

i have suffered it for 38 years, a change of diet, realization that my immune system needed constant boosting and a cream called protopic 1% with the onset of a flare up changed my life forever - the cream is from the doctor is non steroid and works to counter balance the over activity in the immune systems b cells, It works. it is all to do with your immunology,
