Exfoliation

Thankfully, skin is better, after not going wild over Christmas and eating a lot of green leaves!

However it is dry from my last niggly scratch session. So since I keep picking my skin as it is flaking, decided to just exfoliate the dry skin off. I don't know whether this is a good or bad thing yet, but the moisturisers I apply seem to take better - that is a cream followed by a vaseline type emollient. Skin looks better!

Sorry about your skin - Eczema can be so awful. We know this first hand since our son had deal† with severe Eczema and food intolerance/allergies since he was just a baby. We took him to many doctors who gave him oral steroids and steroid creams among many other things. It was not helping him at all and in fact making his body weak and worse. We knew we had to find something healthy and natural to help and continued to believe that there was something out there that could help him. We found it when we were told about Vidazorb chewable probiotics. We started giving it to him (which he just loved) and right away within the first week he began to look and feel so much better! It has been a miracle for our family and it really works. I hope that this will help you in some way. Take care!

Hey SGM - I like this suggestion. Thank you for taking the time to write this. This seems easy to do (I like easy) as I can try this now and see if the problem stems from not processing food well. Will look to get some and do an update in a couple of weeks.

Smiles to you :o)

its bad to exfoliate !
very very bad
i ahve had ezcema from about 1 to the age of 18
im in my last year of high school and have tried absolutely every sort of treatment:
-steroid creams
-wet dressings for month periods
-natural
-diet changes
-environmental changes
-every sort of supplement

i believe it is true everybody has their own factors but definitely exfoliatio is not the way to go. it will temporarily lighten up the red layers and the flaking skin. BUT this however ugly it looks protects pathogens from attacking the lower raw layers. let it fall off. it will look extremely ugly and feel bad but it si worth it
i have actually had ezcema on every single part of my body, scars from a year ago still linger

good luck on your journey

I have horrible eczema all over my arms in the winter time. I find that I have to exfoliate about once a week to keep my skin from getting completely scaly. I can't use any store bought products they all seem to have perfume or alcohol in it. I exfoliate using a sugar scrub (brown sugar, coconut oil, with some pumpkin spice to make it smell over the top delicious!) and moisturize with coconut oil. This seems to keep the worst of my eczema at bay. At least in my case, if I don't exfoliate then my moisturizer becomes ineffective.
